I read an article today that left me laughing in hysterics. It wasn’t the usual articles I enjoy reading such as health, fitness or one of the awesome athletes I so admire. No this article was on things we will regret at an older age. As I read this article I was in tears with laughter because I was so guilty of most of the things listed. This got me to thinking of some advice I would hand the younger Steph…
Stop listening and believing what everyone is telling you…
Oh man, where do I begin? That voice you hear and feel so strong in your gut is actually there to help. Listen to yourself you will avoid so much drama. When you feel someone is shady or when you feel you’re doing the right thing, LISTEN! In fact do not believe anyone, trust that core and rely on your own stubborn ass beliefs. I promise you will avoid such heartache.
Stop stop stop being so obsessive with your looks…
Here you are listening to everyone else again telling you that you are odd shaped, too thin, too muscular and on and on. No one has ever been a harsher critic give yourself a friggin break. Enjoy, embrace and LOVE your body, you will have people calling you in your future to represent them and their clothing and even pay you for this… You have been at death’s door before and came back swinging and truth be told, you look and act like a champ with more endurance than kids half your age, so I say that is pretty badass! CHILL OUT!!!
Love yourself
No matter how many times you have heard you are shit from those toxic friends, dirt bag boyfriends or even family. You totally ROCK and have so many awesome reasons to love you…
Slow Down
Slow your roll baby… Stop wishing your life away and embrace every single piece of this journey of life, you will be so thankful you do. You will get there!
It’s ok to trust
Do not be so skeptical of everyone just because you’ve been hurt by a few. Everyone is not out to get you! Trust that life is sending you proper people for your life story. See the positive in them and trust if you get disappointed at least you have learned a valuable lesson…
Follow your dreams and not a boyfriend
Big lesson to learn right here. Your passion in your heart is guiding you to the proper places in life, trust those and get out of bad relationships with those dirt bag boyfriends trying to lead you astray. You will save so much time (and money) by doing this… Passion is perfect, boyfriends not always perfect!
Don’t gossip to coworkers, friends, family, strangers, just do not gossip!
Just because all your buds are talking mess about someone do not join in. People love drama and creating it if they do not have a happy life. So don’t say one harsh word because it’s only poisoning your own soul… Walk away and carry on your way when it starts, lead by example…
Learn Value
Value your true friends, your family, your job, your health, value life altogether you were given a second chance in this world learn that there’s value in everything…
Be willing to let go…
People will come and go in your life just know everyone who comes into your life isn’t necessarily supposed to remain there, and certainly some shouldn’t. Surround yourself with people of awesome qualities that inspire and drive you to have the great life you want. Let things go and carry on without judgment or resentment, you will be so much happier when you do.
The last thing I will add to me is be yourself ALWAYS… Let your light shine bright to the world, you have a story that can help someone else’s life. This is one of the hardest things you will go through when you actually realize this, but when you learn your authenticity is amazing and should shine through everything you say and do, it will be the greatest blessing you have ever received and you will finally experience that peace of mind you have always wanted. Never Give Up, Never Give In, Never Stop Trying, NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!!
Sincerely,
The older, wiser, positive, happy STEPH
