I’ve driven by this spot for going on 22 years and today I decided to stop and get a photo. This is the ditch I laid in as a child when I had my auto accident. For probably 5 years after my accident there were skid marks in the road where the car flipped. They finally disappeared although my memories have never disappeared….
I spoke w a child a few weeks ago who has suffered similar events In her life as mine. The conclusions are the same with every person I’ve spoken with over the past few years…
Every moment of our life change is subject to happen, one moment you could be walking out the door like I was at 14 to hang out w your friends and the next moment you’re laying face first in this ditch. It’s always the same no matter what, but what’s important is what u decide to do w the Change that happens… I have learned that every single change in life is for the good and meaningful, no matter how harsh the road may be there’s always the light at the end of the tunnel…
Today is the last day of #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth but I plan to continue to share this strength that was initially formed laying in this ditch 22 years ago. Most people who remember this would have never imagined I would be called a marathon runner, a model, a spokesperson, or even alive! So the greatest advice I will say and say this confidently is Never EVER Give Up! We can move mountains, & this I know of complete truth baby!!
